WHAT IS A BALINESE MASSAGE TREATMENT?

Balinese Massage comes from Bail, one of the Indonesian islands where there is a long history of massage used for healing and well-being.  The main aim of the treatment is a relaxed state of mind and a free flow of energy or chi through the body.  The procedure combines a variety of techniques; deep, flowing massage, acupressure and aromatherapy oils of jasmine, rose, frankincense and lemongrass into one luxurious treatment.  Like many Oriental forms of massage therapy, one of the goals of this form of massage is to unblock energy in the body.  They do this by ensuring the body is getting enough circulation.  They believe that flow of this energy or life force and blood flow are linked.  Applying deep pressure to the muscle tissue helps to balance the body both physically and energetically.

Aromatherapy is an important aspect of this form of massage. This form of massage is done with warm oil that is mixed with various essential oils like rose, jasmine, frankincense and lemongrass. The oils can be blended to address specific complaints and make the massage luxurious.
